For the past 15 years, Sam’s Army® has been promoting the sport of soccer by encouraging fans to attend games and stand and sing together. During this time, we have had unofficial Brigades in parts of the U.S. and we are excited to bring more structure and support to Brigades. We are now taking the next step in the evolution of Supporters Clubs in the U.S. by forming Official Brigades.

We are excited at the thought of having Brigades all over the country and around the world promoting the game and supporting the National Teams. Brigades will more than enhance the growth of the sport in the U.S. and will provide an infrastructure for Sam’s Army® SC members to organize on a new level.

We are pleased to announce the first Official Brigade in Miami, FL. The Miami Ultras are a group of supporters about 300 strong. Anyone in the Miami area looking to receive more information about the Miami Brigade, you can go to: Miami Soccer Fan

Monty Rodrigues will be taking the lead in this process as he brings years of experience as a leader with the MLS Supporters Club The Midnight Riders and has been an integral part of Sam’s Army since the beginning. His knowledge of organizing and growing supporters clubs will be a vital asset in this process.

If you have experience with MLS or USL supporters clubs, we welcome your input and support.

Sam’s Army® Brigades

It is the mission of Sam’s Army® Official Brigades to assist the National Sam’s Army Supporter's Club in promoting soccer in the United States and specifically to take active steps to assist Sam's Army® SC and the United States Soccer Federation in growing support for the U.S. National Soccer Teams.

Benefits for Official Brigades:

• Brigade pages on the SA® website
• Opportunity to produce SA/Brigade gear
• Easy, centralized processing of memberships
• Easy, centralized process for gear production
• Streamlined game day organization via local Brigades
• Brigade leaders will be part of a National SASC Advisory Board

Brigade Responsibilities:

• Organize events, including viewing parties for all National Team matches for US fans in the Brigade's area as well as other events, and facilitate organized travel in support of the U.S. to matches for Brigade members
• Brigades shall organize supporter sections and events (tailgates, night-before parties, game- day events etc.) when National Team matches/events are held in the Brigade's area (SASC will assist as necessary)
• Facilitate communication and organization with other local and/or national supporters clubs
• Minimum number of members for an official Brigade - ten
